WEST TIGERS DESCRIPTION :
The National Rugby League (NRL) competition is Australia’s premier winter sports competition. Teams are based in Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville, Auckland NZ and Melbourne. The Wests Tigers is the result of an amalgamation of 2 previous clubs namely Western Suburbs Magpies and the Balmain Tigers. Fan base is across Australia but the highest concentration is in Liverpool, Campbletown, Leichhardt and the greater West regions of Sydney. This is the largest growth region of Sydney and is forecast to overtake Parramatta as the highest vehicle sales precinct in Australia. Wests Tigers currently have 365,000 fans, 65,000 members of their leagues clubs, 5,000 registered juniors and 5.5 million viewers per annum for their televised football matches.
