Subang Jaya, 3 December 2019 – Sales for PROTON continue to strengthen as 2019 comes to a close. The national carmaker had another strong performance in November as year-on-year sales for the month grew by 100% with 9,643 units sold. The cumulative volume for the year stands at 89,476 units, which marks a 50.1% growth in total year-on-year numbers. Market share has also grown and is estimated to now be at 16.2% for the whole of 2019.
Subang Jaya, 29 November 2019 – The headlines for the recently concluded Sepang 1000km (S1K) race were grabbed by Team Proton R3 (R3) for finishing first and second but the most surprising result of the race was actually claimed by the third R3 entrant. The Proton Saga driven by Leona Chin, Faye Kusairi and Nurul Husna, R3’s three lady drivers, came home a respectable seventh, setting the record for the best result achieved by an all-ladies driver line-up and proving their mettle in what was a very tough race.
Subang Jaya, 24 November 2019 – Team Proton R3 (R3) capped a successful 2019 season yesterday by winning the Sepang 1000km (S1K) race for a third consecutive time. The 2019 Proton Iriz driven by Mitchell Cheah and Fariqe Hairuman dominated proceedings in a tough race that featured a safety car period and inclement weather leading to proceedings ending after nine hours instead of the scheduled 181 laps. There was double joy for R3 as the 2019 Proton Saga driven by Syafiq Ali and Admi Shahrul came home in second place.
