Subang Jaya, 21 May 2020 – PROTON has contributed 5,000 face shields to the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) to support frontliners on duty enforcing the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) during the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri holidays. A handover ceremony was held at Putrajaya with Dato’ Radzaif Mohamed, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, representing the Company while receiving on behalf of the Home Affairs Ministry was Dato’ Jamil Rakon, Secretary General, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Subang Jaya, 18 May 2020 – As Malaysia moves closer towards the lifting of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), it cannot be denied the flattening of the nation’s infection curve has been achieved by the joint effort of the public and the tireless work put in by frontliners in all areas. From doctors and nurses screening possible virus carriers and dispensing care to those who need it to members of the police and armed forces who have manned thousands of 24-hour roadblocks nationwide, each has played a vital role in the largest control and containment exercise the country has ever seen.
Subang Jaya, 16 May 2020 – After the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) on 4 May, PROTON proceeded with the progressive reopening of all its sales and service outlets and corporate office on the following day. With over 9,000 staff and many more working at its dealerships, the company has taken a number of necessary precautionary steps to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus amongst its staff.
