The 2026 update reflects PROTON’s commitment to continuous improvement, with meaningful enhancements across performance, connectivity, styling and safety to better match evolving customer needs.

Powering the 2026 PROTON S70 is the i-GT 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Producing 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, it delivers strong, responsive acceleration, reaching 0–100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, while maintaining impressive fuel efficiency of 5.7L/100km. The enhanced powertrain calibration ensures smoother gear shifts, more confident performance, and lower running costs, offering drivers a compelling balance of power, efficiency, and everyday comfort in its class.

Jointly developed with PROTON’s global partner Geely, the advanced powertrain incorporates low-inertia turbocharging, friction and vibration reduction technologies and comprehensive durability testing to ensure best performance, reliability, fuel efficiency and reduced engine’s Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH).

PROTON’s in-house ride and handling tuning, enhanced Electronic Stability Control (ESC) software and selectable drive modes further contribute to a composed, stable and enjoyable driving experience in both urban and highway conditions.

The 2026 PROTON S70 is available in four variants – Executive, Premium, Flagship and Flagship X – each designed to suit different customer needs and lifestyles. Complementing its sporty yet premium character, the model is offered in a refreshed range of exterior colours, including Quartz Black, Marine Blue, Space Grey, Snow White, Armour Silver, and the newly introduced Ruby Red.

Every purchase of the 2026 PROTON S70 comes with a comprehensive Standard Package designed to deliver confidence and connectivity from day one. This includes Pro-Warranty*, offering a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage and six times free labour service, alongside Pro-Connect*, which provides a 5-year data package with 2GB per month, enabling seamless access to connected features throughout ownership. In addition, Pro-Finance* is available to all customers, offering financing options of up to 9 years, with interest rates starting from 2.25% per annum, plus Pro-Xchange* which provides RM4,000 support for the deregistration of non-roadworthy trade-in vehicles.
