  • Four Proton and six Proton e.MAS outlets strengthen customer access across five regions

  • RM15.9 million dealer investment creates 210 jobs while expanding sales, service and EV support

Subang Jaya, 24 July 2026 – PROTON is strengthening customer access to its products and ownership services with the official opening of 10 new PROTON and Proton e.MAS outlets across Malaysia within 10 days. Comprising four PROTON outlets and six Proton e.MAS outlets, the coordinated openings span the Central, Northern, Southern, East Coast and East Malaysia regions, bringing vehicle discovery, sales consultation, servicing and aftersales support closer to customers in both urban and regional markets.

As of June 2026, PROTON’s nationwide footprint comprised 195 sales outlets, including 178 integrated 3S and 4S facilities. Proton e.MAS was supported by 58 dealerships, 45 service centres and 10 Body & Paint centres. Together, the two networks provide the physical reach and specialised capabilities required to support customers across ICE, EV and PHEV segments.

Different formats for different customer needs

The 10 new facilities represent a combined dealer investment of RM15.9 million and create 210 job opportunities across sales, aftersales, technical and customer service functions. They feature a mix of Sales and Customer Centres, mall-based showrooms, integrated 3S and 4S facilities, an urban brand centre and a mini 3S outlet, allowing each location to be matched to the needs and accessibility requirements of its local market.

In high-traffic urban locations, mall outlets and brand centres provide convenient points for customers to discover PROTON and Proton e.MAS vehicles within their daily routines. In regional markets, 3S and 4S centres integrate vehicle sales, service and spare parts under one roof, with Body & Paint support available at selected locations. The mini 3S format extends integrated ownership support to developing markets through a facility scale suited to local demand.

Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, said each outlet must strengthen the connection between the company and its customers, both at the point of purchase and throughout the ownership journey.

“Customer convenience is shaped by both proximity and the quality of support available. Our objective is not simply to add more locations, but to ensure each outlet responds to the needs of its local market and provides customers with a professional and dependable experience.

“Opening 10 outlets within 10 days reflects the close coordination between PROTON, Proton e.MAS and our dealer partners. The range of outlet formats enables us to improve accessibility in busy urban locations while strengthening integrated sales and aftersales support in regional markets.

“Whichever powertrain customers choose, they should be confident that PROTON has the facilities, people and technical capabilities to support them throughout their ownership journey.”

Improving the experience across the network

The latest openings form part of PROTON’s broader effort to improve the quality and consistency of its physical customer touchpoints. Since the second half of 2025, dealerships have been progressively adopting the company’s refreshed Corporate Identity, designed to create a more modern and welcoming retail environment while improving showroom presentation and the overall customer journey.

Aftersales delivery is also being strengthened through PROTON’s Faster & Better approach, guided by its 3 Commitments to Customers. These include FS90 Fast Service, 1 Day Service Delivery to return vehicles within 24 hours and a Work-In-Progress period of not more than three days, supported by the continued implementation of 5-Star outlet standards. Together, the initiatives are designed to improve workshop productivity, service turnaround time and consistency across the network.

For Proton e.MAS customers, the growing dealership footprint is complemented by dedicated sales, service and Body & Paint capabilities for electrified vehicles. This creates an ownership ecosystem extending beyond vehicle purchase to include maintenance, repairs and specialised technical support for EV and PHEV customers.

Dealer partnerships strengthen local customer support

The coordinated opening programme reflects the continued commitment of PROTON’s dealer partners. Their investments in facilities, equipment, people and technical competencies enable PROTON to combine nationwide reach with local market knowledge, established customer relationships and employment opportunities in the communities served.

By introducing different outlet formats across five regions within a concentrated period, PROTON and its dealer partners are creating more convenient points of access while strengthening the consistency of sales and ownership support available to customers nationwide.
